Mahima Datla speaks at Malaxmi Group’s Er Sreeramulu’s Seventeenth Endowment Lecture

The Sedibus, Malaxmi Group’s Startup Ecosystem in association with The Institution of Engineers, Andhra Pradesh State Centre hosted Er Sreeramulu’s Seventeenth Endowment Lecture, series of annual lectures that address key socio-economic issues on 23rd November 2020.

The lecture, held for the first time in a virtual webinar format hosted Mahima Datla, Managing Director, Biological E Limited as this year’s speaker. Ms Datla spoke on the topic ‘Covid19 Vaccine – Development and Challenges’ in a webinar that was attended by engineers, students of various disciplines, startups and entrepreneurs. Professor K Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman, The Institution of Engineers, AP State Centre & Chairman, AP State Council for Higher Education, Harish Chandra Prasad, Founder & Chief Mentor, Malaxmi group, Dr CV Sriram, Honorary Secretary, The Institute of Engineers and A S Rao, Member, The Institution of Engineers were present at the forum, live from Vijayawada.

Ms Datla spoke online and addressed key aspects surrounding the development of Covid19 vaccine, challenges, and stages of vaccine trials at Biological E Limited at the lecture. She gave important insights into the challenges that exist in the development of Covid19 vaccine and how economies should be ‘inclusive’ to drive the entire supply chain process post-development.

She spoke about the need to plan for large scale manufacturing, distribution and last-mile logistics and the role of vaccine makers and the government in order to make this a possibility.

The participants asked some crucial questions surrounding the vaccine that were answered by her. The endowment lecture was hosted and attended by Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO, The Sedibus along with Sandeep Mandava, CEO, Malaxmi Properties Pvt Ltd and Dr E Sivanagireddy, CEO, The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati (CCVA).
