Sri Rajarajan was later honored by the Institution of Engineers India (IEI) along with Malaxmi Group and the program was later followed with High Tea and networking. The Institution of Engineers (India), Andhra Pradesh State Centre in association with Malaxmi Group’s The Sedibus (Malaxmi Group’s complete startup ecosystem platform) organised the Sixteenth Endowment Lecture of Sri Late Er. Yarlagadda Sreeramulu at Hotel Novotel in Vijayawada on Friday, the 20th December 2019. Every year, The Institution of Engineers and Malaxmi Group host Endowment Lectures to propel dialogue on futuristic topics that impact the country’s development in several arenas. The programme that hosts eminent speakers welcomed Sri. A Rajarajan, Director, Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota this year. Sri Rajarajan spoke on the topic, “Opportunities in Space Program” which was attended in packed audience consisting of important dignitaries, guests, startups and students. Sri A Rajarajan spoke about responsibility of space programmes to reach every citizen in India. He laid emphasis on space applications with varied requirements and versatile solutions in the form of earth observations, propulsion technologies and latest advancements in space programs.
He spoke about ISRO space applications centers, payloads and applications satellites, satellite control launch vehicles, technology lead centers, etc. He explained about intricate independence and crucial collaboration between government, industry, and academia to create market imperative solutions, supply-demand disruptive technologies, etc. The students were taken through a transformation in technology and the need for disruption. He stated that the configuration of satellites for the benefit of the common man is already seeing the light of the day. Several examples of advancements in tele education with interactive networks, telemedicine and remote sensing satellite applications in the wasteland, monitoring groundwater prospects, mining deviations, flash flood warning urban planning and wind energy potential were shared. Sri Rajarajan shared experiences of ISRO on Chandrayaan 1 and 2 projects, ongoing talks between ISRO and NASA, and navigation with Indian Constellation. He urged the students and startups to invest time on innovation and stay ahead with constantly changing technology. Y Harish Chandra Prasad, Founder and Chief Mentor of Malaxmi Group spoke to the students about striving high in life with disruption in technology.
