The Sedibus, a city-based startup ecosystem platform on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Entrepreneur Zone (TEZ), Hyderabad, to kick-start a Startup Accelerator Innovator Programme in the city.

Sedibus is an incubator with maker space, accelerator with mentors and industry collaboration, offering co-working space in Vijayawada and viable networking platform to young entrepreneurs in the State. It focuses extensively on deep tech startups and concentrates on high growth areas like smart cities, health care and agri-tech sectors.

Vijayawada will be its first 360 degree undertaking to nurture complete startup ecosystem within the State and to achieve the goal, it has joined hands with TEZ. The first cohort will be conducted in October.

TEZ is a startup accelerator which provides a complete ecosystem for creating entrepreneurs and is an official help centre and hand holding agency under the “Stand Up India’ scheme.

The services of TEZ include developing business plans, market research, industry analysis, prototyping services, company incorporation, founder and other agreements, go-to-market strategy, branding, media launch, fund facilitation and post-fund mediation to the aspiring startup rookies. TEZ was listed as one of the 10 best consultant startup companies in India (Silicon India, Nov 2016).

“This will be our first move to establish a solid startup foundation for young entrepreneurs in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh. Collaborating with TEZ will bring in significant results, with their excellent mentorship program that has a proven track record of training and nurturing startup entrepreneurs with the requisite skills,” said Y Harish Chandra Prasad, founder and chief mentor, Malaxmi Group.

Deepa Balasubramanian, head of corporate affairs, Malaxmi Group, will spearhead this process. “This is just the beginning of many promising ground level events and initiatives to come from The Sedibus,” she said.
